HK’s AAT volumes down only 3% in Oct

Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) has announced it handled 51,380 tonnes of cargo in October, down 3 per cent year-on-year. Export cargo registered 36,093 tonnes, a decline of 3 per cent against same period last year. Import cargo volume for October was 14,930 tonnes, recording a decrease of 4 per cent from last year. Trans-shipment cargo volume was 357 tonnes, down 2 per cent. Cargo & pax declines moderate further at HK

Cargo throughput in September at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) dropped 4.3 per cent year-onyear to 304,000 tonnes, while passenger throughput reached 3.5 million passenger trips in September 2009, 3.5 per cent below the same period in 2008.
