AirAsia opts for own KL airport

Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia has unveiled plans to shift to its own US$460 million airport outside Kuala Lumpur, abandoning the current budget terminal next to Kuala Lumpur's main international hub. Terror warning puts Indian airports on high alert

India airports across the country were placed on high alert after the country's Bureau of Civil Aviation received an e-mail warning that on 6 December, terror groups might strike at airports located on coast of the western Gujarat state. Three major US airports open new runways

Three new runways were opened in late November, including Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare and Seattle-Tacoma international. The new runway at Dulles is its first addition since 1962 and brings the airport's total to four.
