Hong Kong’s cargo volume saw a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent to 397,000 tonnes in March, according to the latest statistics from Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA). Brussels Airport unveils new sustainable logistics complex
After two years of construction work, this week Brussels Airport announced the opening of a new logistics facility covering 50,000 square metres at the west side of Brucargo. This logistics complex will house large refrigerated storage spaces and offer direct airside access to Kuehne+Nagel, Worldwide Flight Services and Expeditors. Fraport introduces automatic license plate detection
Press release Fraport, the company that operates Frankfurt Airport (FRA), launched a new technology that automates the process of driving into FRA’s CargoCity South. At Gates 31 and 32, an innovative camera system now reads the license plates of arriving visitors and crosschecks them against stored datasets. If they match, the system automatically opens the gate. HKIA’s cargo volume up 23 percent in February
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) last week released the traffic figures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for February 2021. During the month, cargo throughput was 310,000 tonnes, up 23.3 percent year-on-year increase, whilst freighter movements surged 36.8 percent to 4,615, from the 3,374 recorded during the same month last year.
