IATA: Asia Pacific air cargo demand up 10.5 percent in Feb
Asia Pacific’s airlines saw demand for international air cargo rise 10.5 percent in February compared to the same month in 2019 according to the latest data from International Air Transport Association (IATA). March: What’s dampening air cargo’s recovery?
After some form of recovery to pre-pandemic levels in the first two months of the year, global volumes for the four full weeks of March 2021 were unable to continue the recovery seen in January and February, according to latest data from CLIVE Data Services and TAC Index. Asia Pacific is gaining momentum after a slow start post-CNY, as air cargo volumes from the region jumped 21 percent week-over-week, according to the latest data from WorldACD. In week 8 of 2021, worldwide volume went up 8 percent versus week 7, whilst worldwide capacity increased 7 percent. Air cargo volume back to pre-Covid levels after 10 months
Air cargo volumes have recovered to pre-Covid volume levels in February, perhaps an unprecedented feat in just 10 months, according to latest data from industry analysts CLIVE Data Services and TAC Index.
