Cathay Pacific Cargo sees cargo revenue drop 17% in 1H
Fierce competition, excess capacity and suspended fuel surcharges saw cargo revenue at Cathay Pacific falling 17.2 per cent in the first half to US$1.2 billion. Scoot to launch first flights to Europe
Scoot, the Singapore Airlines long-haul, low-cost carrier (LCC), has announced it will start flying to Europe for the first time next summer. Scheduled to commence on 20 June 2017, the airline will operate non-stop services four times per week between Singapore and Athens using B787-8 equipment. An ASL Airlines B737-400, on behalf of EAT Leipzig, on behalf of DHL on a freight flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle to Milan Bergamo overran the runway at Milan Bergamo's Orio al Serio Airport amid thunderstorms and poor weather early Friday morning local time.
