Middle East air cargo surges 17% in September
Air cargo volumes in the Middle East recorded the strongest growth in September than in other region, according to new data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Cargo volumes carried by the region’s carriers grew by 17 per cent YoY, while capacity expanded 14.5 per cent. The region was well ahead of its geographic rivals with Africa showing the next best growth in September of 11.5 percent. SriLankan Air takes delivery of A330-300
SriLankan Airlines has taken delivery of its first A330-300. The aircraft arrived at Colombo International Airport, having flown from Toulouse, France, and joins the airlines’ existing fleet of A320, A321, A330-200 and A340-300 aircraft. Cathay adds Phnom Penh freighter service
Cathay Pacific Airways has launched a new freighter service to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, commencing 23 November 2014.
