The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced its new secretary general, will be Vladimir Zubkov, replacing Doug Brittin, who retires at the end of the year. In September 2016, Asia-Pacific and Middle East air freight grew, despite global trade growth remaining weak, according to the latest statistics from the Airports Council International (ACI). Etihad moves 72 high-value racehorses from UK to Kuwait
Etihad Cargo has successfully shipped more than 70 elite racehorses from England to Kuwait after the European racing season. In all, 72 racehorses – worth a combined £36 million (US $45 million) – were transported from London Stansted Airport to Kuwait City, where they will spend the winter months training and racing in the temperate Middle Eastern climate. PACTL sets new cargo handling record in October
Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) - the largest provider of air cargo handling services at Shanghai Pudong airport - achieved the highest monthly tonnage in the company’s history, handling153,607 tonnes in October, featuring a volume growth of 8.9 per cent year-on-year. AMI Cape Town triples size of perishables facility
The Cape Town, South Africa, base of – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight and express wholesaler – has doubled the size of its facility, and trebled its temperature-controlled storage for perishables. AMI has acquired the facility adjacent to its current base at Cape Town International Airport, doubling its warehousing to 1,000 sqm.
