Atlas Air for the first time has ordered direct from Boeing for four new 777 freighters, with delivery of the first aircraft in November. Air Belgium eyes B747-8 cargo operations
Air Belgium plans to start Boeing 747-8 freighter operations next year, as the charter airline is looking to hire both Captains and First Officers for the fleet, according to a job listing on the company’s LinkedIn page. DB Schenker extends charter contract with Atlas Air
Atlas Air last week announced the extension of its partnership with Schenker Flight Services GmbH (DB Schenker), to provide air cargo charter flights for transpacific shipments. Atlas Air will provide charter capacity for shipments on the forwarder’s transpacific network. Air Charter Service logs record quarter revenue for cargo
London-based Air Charter Service has recorded its busiest quarter for its cargo division with 1,445 cargo charters in the period from August to October. Combining all of its other divisions, ACS logged its highest ever revenue in one quarter, amounting to a total of US$430 million (£321.1 million). The newest player to enter the freighter conversion arena for Boeing’s 777 widebody jet, Mammoth Freighters, has gotten its first order from Ontario-based Cargojet Airways, who will be the launch customer for its new 777-200LR freighter.
