IATA pessimistic on cargo growth this year
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has released a pessimistic view on air cargo growth saying, “it is shaping up to be another tough year for air cargo” pointing to the latest 2.0 per cent drop in volumes against a 6.9 per cent rise in capacity. Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has signed a contract with European-based aviation asset management company, Vallair, to provide it with four 11 pallet position B737-400SF freighter conversions. Frankfurt is aiming to become the largest certified pharmaceutical gateway in Europe with a number of companies concurrently pursing the IATA CEIV Pharma certification with the support of the Air Cargo Community Frankfurt.
