CII starts TSA cargo screening

Consolidators International (CII), a leading Los Angeles-based wholesaler, has begun the implementation of screening process under the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mandated programme whereby 50 per cent of all freight carried in bellies of passenger aircraft must be screened, and 100 per cent by August 2010. DB Schenker wins Gorgon contract

DB Schenker was awarded an international and domestic Australian “Integrated Logistics Services” (ILS) contract by Chevron Australia to transport material and equipment on a global basis for the Gorgon Project. The ILS contract for the Barrow Island LNG Plant is estimated at A$590 million (US$515.3 million) over four years. Air cargo upturn underway, but “fragile”

Signs of a clear, but fragile recovery in air cargo demand are being driven by companies restocking inventories which have run low, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Thursday.
