Precision gets winglet 757MZFW upgrade approval
Precision Aircraft Solutions has received FAA approval for a new maximum zero fuel weight (MZFW) increase on both winglet- and non-winglet-equipped Precision Conversions freighters. The most recent upgrade authorisation allows Precision to further increase MZFW as high as 200,000 lbs. (90,718 kg) to 12,000 lbs. Bombardier Commercial Aircraft announced that an entity owned by the IFL Group of Waterford, Michigan has signed a firm purchase agreement to acquire the first Bombardier CRJ200 SF (Special Freighter) aircraft. Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services has signed a B737-400 freighter conversion agreement with Russia based Volga-Dnepr Group. The 737-400 arrived at Boeing Shanghai at the end of November for the passenger-to-freighter conversion; a "C-check" - an extensive check of the airplane's systems and components that can require several days to perform; and full painting. Volga-Dnepr Gulf, Volga-Dnepr Technics’ subgroup branch in the Middle East, has successfully performed its first A-check on a B737-400 for the Slovenian airline SolinAir.
