MASkargo has selected the cloud-based Unisys logistics management system (LMS) to manage its domestic and international cargo services. Under the contract with Malaysian Airline System Berhad, Unisys will replace MASkargo’s current in-house mainframe-based system with the cloud-based LMS service. Qatar to start freighter service to Ahmedabad
Qatar Airways Cargo is continuing its expansion programme in India with the launch of the seventh freighter destination in the country. Starting 3rd February, 2015, Qatar Airways Cargo will commence freighter services to Ahmedabad, the largest city in the state of Gujarat. For its first new freighter service of 2015, Qatar Airways Cargo will launch twice weekly A330 freighter services to Basel, Switzerland, on 28 January 2015. Yusen opens its sixth warehouse in Sydney
Yusen Logistics Australia will open its sixth Sydney warehousing facility this month. The site is at Greystanes in Western Sydney and is ideally located for all major arterial routes. The new warehouse, which is dedicated to a major US retailer, consists of 12,500 sq metres and will comprise 18,500 pallet locations. Operations will commence immediately.
