FCS, WFS merger at Frankfurt complete

The operations of FCS Frankfurt Cargo Services GmbH and WFS Worldwide Flight Services in Frankfurt have been fully merged following the takeover of FCS by WFS a few months ago. Since 1 February 2016 FCS has been in charge of the WFS handling - with physical handling carried out by FCS using its warehouse facilities. Brazil quashes UPS appeal over FedEx’s TNT takeover

FedEx Corporation has gained approval from Brazil's anti-trust authorities as the Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE) has rejected a third-party appeal filed by United Parcel Service over the takeover. UPS appealed after Brazil unconditionally approved the $4.8 billion deal in February. FedEx has already obtained regulatory approval from anti-trust bodies in the EU, and the US while it is still in pursuit of a similar green signal from authorities in China. American Airlines has submitted a proposal to the US Department of Transportation to begin daily nonstop service from Los Angeles to the Chinese capital of Beijing, two weeks after Delta Air Lines announced a similar bid.
