Panalpina’s board of directors has nominated Peter Ulber as the company’s new chairman for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 10 May 2016. He will succeed Rudolf W. Boeing announces Next-Gen B737-800 conversions
Boeing has announced the launch of the Next-Generation B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) with orders and commitments for up to 55 conversions from seven customers. The first B737-800BCF is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2017. India’s air cargo sector is expected to grow by more than 180 per cent within the next 15 years, in a large part boosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Make in India’ campaign focusing on growing manufacturing from its present 15 per cent of GDP to a full 25 per cent by 2022, according to Dr Renu Singh Parmar, senior adviser for India’s ministry of civil aviation.
