Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co. (PACTL) is in the final stages of building a new perishable centre. The new facility will enable the company to provide the whole range of temperature conditions needed for handling perishables and pharmaceuticals at any time. It is due to go into operation in July 2015 once it has gained IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Certification for Pharmaceutical Logistics. Ryanair steps up plans for transatlantic airline

The board of Ryanair has approved plans to launch transatlantic flights, as part of its five-year growth strategy outlined by the airline. The low-cost carrier said it was already in talks with manufacturers about purchasing long-haul aircraft but couldn’t comment further. “European consumers want lower-cost travel to the USA and the same for Americans coming to Europe.
