Ethihad takes delivery of first A330-200 freighter
Etihad Crystal Cargo recently received its first A330-200 freighter aircraft. Etihad is the launch customer of the A330-200 freighter aircraft, which will enter service in September. A mixture of asset write-downs, restructuring, consolidation and recovery is on the cards for the Japanese airfreight sector, according to a new report from Business Monitor International . AAT sees continued rise in throughput for July
Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) has announced that its tonnage throughput in July 2010 was 61,363 tonnes, recording a growth of 44 per cent compared with the same period last year. Export cargo registered 42,808 tonnes, a growth of 53 per cent when compared with the same month last year. Import cargo volume for July was 18,154 tonnes, up 27 per cent while transhipment cargo volume was 402 tonnes, down 20 per cent when compared against corresponding period in 2009. Cargolux expands Saudi services
Cargolux has announced the expansion of its services to Saudi Arabia by introducing one weekly frequency to Riyadh, effective 1 August 2010, in addition to its twice weekly service to Dammam. Geodis enjoys healthy growth
French-based logistics provider Geodis said that it had returned to strong growth in the first half of 2010. Together, recent acquisitions and organic growth drove a 37.1 per cent (€841.6 million) increase in revenue to €3,112.6 million.
