CPSL reports first full-year tonnage performance

Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) released its first full year handling tonnage. In 2014, Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal (CPCT) handled 1.45 million tonnes of cargo. The terminal saw its highest tonnage record on 8th November 2014, handling 5,476 tonnes of cargo on the day.  Traffic at CPCT was largely driven by transhipment in 2014, accounting for 54 per cent of the cargo tonnage throughput. PacAvi to target Asia’s P2F conversions market

PacAvi Group is partnering with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd (GAMECO) to address the Chinese and Asian markets for Airbus A320 and A321 passenger-to-freighter conversions. Hactl makes strong Q4 impression

Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) ended 2014 with its strongest quarter of the year, handling 491,476 tonnes (up 4.9 per cent on the same period of 2013). The last quarter was also the best of the year for exports, which totalled 287,456 tonnes (up 4.2 per cent on 2013), for imports, which totalled 131,202 tonnes (up 7.7 per cent) and for mail and express, which totalled 41,558 tonnes (down 2.2 per cent). LOT Cargo starts flights to US, Canada

LOT Cargo has launched a New York – Warsaw – New York freight route with an all-cargo B767-300 aircraft operated by Cargojet Airways. This year, flights are scheduled for January-April and October-December. For January and March, the company has planned weekly flights departing from New York (JFK) on Saturdays and from Warsaw on Sundays. Aer Lingus to accept takeover bid from IAG

The BBC has reported that Aer Lingus will be taken over by International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways and Iberia Airlines. According to several news sources, IAG pitched its latest proposal at €2.50 a share, valuing Aer Lingus at about €1.3 billion (approx.
