Air freight forwarders are worried about the handling quality at Frankfurt airport, according to the German DVZ Brief. The article said 20 per cent of forwarders in Frankfurt rated the recent quality of the handling agents on the airport as “poorâ€Â, or even worse. Emirates puts off shift to Al Maktoum Int’l
Emirates has said it may delay shifting to Dubai’s new Al Maktoum International Airport by up to 10 years. The carrier has confirmed that it is now looking to move to the new facility between 2022 and 2030, instead of between 2018 and 2020 as originally planned. Emirates has also said it will not move any of its cargo operations from Dubai International Airport (DIA) to Al Maktoum in June this year when a new 250,000 tonne-capacity facility is set to open. New Central Vietnam hub for Kerry Logistics
Kerry Logistics has opened the first phase of its new logistics centre in Danang in Central Vietnam. The facility will provide a total of 9,000 sq m of space when completed in the second half of 2010. The new facility will add to Kerry Logistics’ 62,500 sq m facility in Ho Chi Minh City and a 10,300 sq m facility in Hanoi providing complete coverage in North, Central and South Vietnam.
