Asia-Pacific ekes out 1.4% cargo growth in May
Airports in the Asia-Pacific region reported marginal increases in total air freight of +1.4 per cent in May 2016 whereas the Middle East reported moderate growth at +3.3 per cent. Malaysia Airlines announced today an order for 25 B737 MAX 8 aircraft, valued at US$2.75 billion at current list prices. The order also includes purchase rights for additional B737 MAX 8 and B737 MAX 9s. Malaysia Airlines currently operates 56 737-800s. AEI announces order for fourth MD-80SF series freighter conversion
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced today the fourth order for an MD-82SF freighter conversion from Aeronaves T.S.M. (TSM). The aircraft will commence modification at the end of August and will be re-delivered to TSM in early 2017 to fly for the DHL network in Mexico. Commercial Jet’s Miami, Florida facility will perform the modification and maintenance requirements on the aircraft.
