Qatar Airways took delivery of its highly anticipated first A380. With 10 A380-800s on order, the carrier is preparing to take delivery of four of them before the end of this year. Boeing projects a demand in China for 6,020 new aircrafts over the next 20 years, valued at US$870 billion. ABX Air to return four DHL-owned freighters
ABX Air, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), has received termination notices from DHL affecting four DHL-owned Boeing 767-200 freighter aircrafts that ABX Air leases and operates within the US. DHL sought bids to operate the aircraft from other vendors earlier this year. The notices are effective in late December 2014 for two aircraft, and in January 2015 for the two remaining aircraft. BOC Aviation ordered 50 737 MAX 8s, 30 next-generation 737-800s and two 777-300ERs (extended range) from Boeing.
