Air freight posts heftiest gain since the recovery following the Great Recession

Airports Council International (ACI) World reported global passenger traffic up 5.7% in December 2017 on a year over year basis. For the year as a whole, preliminary numbers show an increase of 6.4% in passenger volumes across the world's airports. Growth has above 6% for the third year in a row. Freight volumes record robust increases

According to Airport Council International, the strong growth trend continued with passenger traffic increasing by 6.8% and freight volumes recorded a robust 8.9 increase in July. Fuelled by strengthening global trade and industrial production, freight volumes continued their increase in July. ACI and ICAO sign MoU

Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together on a wide range of aerodrome training services to benefit the 1,940 ACI Member Airports worldwide, and to support the 191 ICAO Member States.
