Incheon Airport takes runnerup as 2nd busiest cargo airport
Incheon International Airport moved up a notch to become the second busiest cargo airport in 2021, according to airport trade body Airports Council International (ACI) World. The airport, located some 40 kilometres west of Seoul, handled 3.23 million tonnes of international cargo last year, up 18.6 percent from 2020. New airport traffic rankings showed the dramatic impact of Covid-19 on different economies. Hong Kong International Airport retained its position as the world’s busiest air cargo hub, despite seeing cargo volume drop 10.6 percent compared to the first half of last year, data from Airports Council International (ACI World) revealed.
