Strong growth in passenger traffic and a continuing boom in airfreight lifted Munich Airport to yet another very successful year in 2015. Contrary to much of the world, the growth in airfreight was even more dynamic than in the passenger segment for the year with cargo tonnage up by 9.0 per cent to a new record level of over 336,000 tonnes. IAG Cargo has today announced the launch of a new B777-200 Cape Town, South Africa service, set to operate three times a week from London Gatwick from 24 November and continuing through the winter schedule.
