Myanmar’s Directorate of Investment and Company Administration has approved an investment of US$70.8 million by in Asian Blue Aviation Co Ltd, a joint venture between Japan’s ANA Holdings and Golden Sky World. ANA to take 8.8% stake in Vietnam Airlines
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has signed a memorandum of understanding to buy an 8.8 per cent stake in Vietnam Airlines for VND2.4 billion (US$108 million). The move is part of ANA’s strategy of investing in the fast-growing Southeast Asian aviation sector, which in 2013 saw the Japanese carrier take a 49 per cent share in Myanmar’s Asian Wings Airways, which was subsequently cancelled. ANA to launch new Sydney route
Pending government approval, Japanese airline ANA will launch daily flights between Tokyo Haneda and Sydney from 11 December 2015. All flights will be operated using ANA’s newest aircraft type, the B787-9 Dreamliner.
