Air China and Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways will jointly set up China's biggest cargo joint venture in Shanghai in early 2010 as the two carriers aim to tap the surging cargo volumes out of Shanghai Pudong. Aramex posts 23% rise in quarterly profit

Global logistics solutions provider, Aramex, announced its financial results for the three months ending 30 September with a net profit of AED 41.7 million for the period, an increase of 23 per cent compared to AED 33.9 million in the corresponding period of 2008. Korean Air launches Hanoi service
Korean Air Lines (KAL) Cargo has announced the launch of a scheduled B747-400 freighter service to the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi. The service will operate twice-weekly to Hanoi via Singapore from Seoul Incheon with the return routed direct from Hanoi to Incheon. Los Angeles International Airport has posted an increase in air cargo of 2.7 per cent in September, compared with the year-earlier period.
