Boeing delivered Etihad Airways’ first 787-9 Dreamliner sporting the airline’s new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” livery which was revealed at a ceremony earlier this year. Air France-KLM defers B777 deliveries
Air France-KLM will defer the deliveries for 10 Boeing 777-300ERs scheduled for delivery in 2015-2016 because of poor financial results and low fuel prices. Europe’s biggest airline 2014’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation is reported to be US$246 million lower than expected. Kuwait Airways finalise order for 10 B777-300ERs
Boeing and Kuwait Airways have finalised an order for 10 777-300ERs, valued at US$3.3 billion at list prices. The airline originally announced its intent to order the 777-300ER in November. "Kuwait Airways has plans to renew its fleet as well as expand its operations and the 777-300ER is a perfect aircraft for our strategy," said Rasha Al Roumi, Kuwait Airways CEO. Boeing and Malaysia Airlines celebrated the carrier's 100th 737 direct delivery. The aircraft, a B737-800, arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia yesterday. RJ receives its 5th Dreamliner
Royal Jordanian welcomed its fifth 787 aircraft, thus completing the assimilation of the first group of its 787 order. Royal Jordanian’s acting president/CEO Captain Haitham Misto said that the 787s that RJ acquired are a new, advanced generation of the 787. Kuwait Airways to take 10 new 777-300ERs
Ten new 777-300ER aircraft, worth US$3.3 billion at current list prices, will be delivered to Kuwait Airways from November 2016. The airline will use them to launch new routes, but these routes were undisclosed. Last February, Kuwait Airways agreed to purchase 25 new aircraft including A320-neos and A350s.
