‘Safety a nonnegotiable,’ says Singapore aviation authority

Singapore has launched the first ever safety charter for the aviation sector with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) taking the lead at the annual Aviation Safety Forum held on 7 March. Han Kok Juan, Director-General of CAAS, said aviation safety is ‘non-negotiable’ and will be the top priority of the aviation sector as it tries to ‘rebuild and reclaim’ the city-state’s position as a global air hub this year. Singapore Airlines orders blended SAF for pilot trials

Singapore is starting a pilot on the use of sustainable aviation fuel as the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Singapore Airlines, and investment firm Temasek selected ExxonMobil as supplier. Under the pilot, SIA will purchase blended SAF from ExxonMobil, comprising 1.25 million litres of neat SAF or sustainable fuels that are unmixed or undiluted. Singapore takes on challenge of decarbonising aviation

SIA delivers more vaccine jabs to Singapore

Singapore is set to ramp up its vaccination programme as the first shipment of Moderna’s vaccine arrived in the city state on board Singapore Airlines’ B747-400 freighter. Flight SQ7137 flew in from Brussels with the vaccine doses on 17 February. Airbus and CAAS collaborate to enable urban air mobility

Singapore, Japan partner on ATM modernisation and Seamless Sky
