Singapore has signed Air Services Agreements (ASAs) with Cuba, Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Seychelles and Switzerland at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN) 2024 which was held in Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 25 October 2024. On 5 August 2024, the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) from Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Singapore and the national flag carriers Qantas, Air New Zealand, Garuda and Singapore Airlines launched user-preferred routing (UPR) trials on 38 different scheduled routes between cities in Australia/New Zealand and Indonesia/Singapore. Singapore has launched the first ever safety charter for the aviation sector with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) taking the lead at the annual Aviation Safety Forum held on 7 March.
