Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, the world’s largest air cargo handler, has successfully completed its acquisition of Aviapartner Cargo NV at Brussels Airport. The purchase has now received full regulatory approval and will further enhance WFS’s service portfolio in Brussels with the addition of full freighter ramp handling, towing, and airside transportation capabilities. IATA: Air cargo demand up 5.6% in January 2026
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for January 2026 global air cargo markets showing: Total demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTK), rose by 5.6% compared to January 2025 levels (+7.2% for international operations). IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), reports its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2025.
