The Airport Authority Hong Kong has signed a five-year, US$600 million evolving credit facility with 21 local and international banks participating, to help finance the expansion to a three-runway airport. Hong Kong sees flat cargo traffic in first half
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) handled 2.1 million tonnes of cargo for the first half of 2015, up 0.6 per cent from the same period last year. Throughput for the first half of the year was affected by a drop in exports but is expected to consolidate for the rest of the year, the Hong Kong Airport Authority said. Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has signed a new, 10-year extension of its handling franchise at the airport. The new agreement with Hong Kong’s Airport Authority runs from July 2018, when the current franchise expires.
