The Qantas Group and Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) have strengthened their strategic partnership, with Qantas Freight signing on as the airport’s first freight airline to operate at its 24-hour Cargo Precinct. Qantas has announced new freight schedules between Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand to support new and growing customer demand. Qantas to add six A321s for its domestic cargo fleet
Qantas Freight will increase its domestic fleet with six Airbus A321 aircraft to meet growing e-commerce demand and as part of replacing its older freighters. The six A321 freighters are expected to arrive between early 2024 and mid-2026 and will replace the fleet of Boeing 737 freighters that are approaching the end of their economic life. Qantas merges business units as International CEO steps down
Sydney-based Qantas Group has made a cut to its Group Management Committee in view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, with Qantas International’s CEO, Tino La Spina, relieving his post effective 1 September, a press release confirmed.
