CEB’s cargo revenues up by 15.7% in 1H 2014

Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific reported its net income for the first half of 2014 at PHP 3 billion (US$68.4 million), an increase from Php 257 million for the same period last year. Its Q2 2014 total revenues increased 33.7 per cent YoY to Php 14.95 billion.   Cargo revenues posted an increase of 15.7 per cent as CEB carried 37 million of kilos of cargo, an increase of 17.7 per cent for the same period last year. Turkish Airlines posts huge Q2 2014 profits

Turkish Airlines recorded 398 million TRY (US$182.49 million) net profit in the second quarter and 172 million in first half of 2014. Sales revenue increased by 37 per cent in the first half, reaching 11,3 billion TRY. Thai eyes return to profits, begins restructuring

Thai Airways International said last week it expects to return to profit earlier than expected in the fourth quarter and will cut 1,500 jobs this year as part of a restructuring plan at the troubled national carrier.
