The first A350 XWB for Vietnam Airlines has completed its first flight in Toulouse on Monday bearing the airline’s blue and gold lotus livery. The aircraft will now enter the final phase of production, including cabin completion, as well as further ground and flight tests. Vietnam to restructure air freight market

The Vietnamese Transport Ministry has authorised restructure of the air freight market by 2020. The plan is to develop the cargo transport market and increase the role of airfreight, especially in key economic zones and remote areas, local newspaper Vietnam News reported Thursday. The project sets a goal of transporting 0.04 per cent of all goods by air by 2020 as well as 3.23 per cent of all travelers. Vietnam Airlines reveals livery of its first A350 XWB

The first A350 XWB for Vietnam Airlines has been rolled out of the Airbus paint shop in Toulouse on Friday 6th March, featuring the airline’s updated blue and gold lotus livery. The aircraft, which will be leased from AerCap, is now entering the advanced stage of production. This will include installation of the engines, completion of cabin furnishing, and cockpit fitting, followed by ground and flight tests. First A350 XWB for Viet Air enters final assembly

Final assembly of the first A350 XWB for Vietnam Airlines has begun at the Roger Béteille Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. Scheduled for delivery in mid-2015, Vietnam Air will become the first Asian airline and the second operator in the world to fly the A350 XWB. Vietnam Airlines has a total of 10 A350 XWB on order.
