Hong Kong Airlines has placed a firm order with Airbus for nine additional A330-300 aircraft. The aircraft will be operated across the carrier’s Asia network and beyond. VietJet announces Hong Kong-Ho Chi Minh City service
Vietnam’s rapidly expanding low cost carrier, Vietjet has announced the opening of a new international route linking Hong Kong with Ho Chi Minh City. The route will commence operations on 9 December. The new route is Vietjet’s first frequent service to Hong Kong, which increases Vietjet’s total frequent routes between Vietnam and China to nine. Cathay Pacific Airways today released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for August 2016 showing an increase in the amount of cargo and mail uplifted and a drop in the number of passengers carried compared to the same month last year. The two airlines carried 153,733 tonnes of cargo and mail in August, an increase of 3.8 per cent compared to the same month last year.
