Raya Airways to launch two more SE Asian destinations
Malaysia-based Raya Airways has announced its plans to launch two new cargo destinations - Jakarta and Hanoi - by early February 2016 and plans to add five more freighters by Q3 this year. The airline plans to fly three times per week to the two destinations with its B757-200 Freighter which has a capacity of around 32 tonnes of cargo per flight. Amazon has again been operating secret flights carrying thousands of packages, this time in and out of the UK for the past six weeks as it trials setting up its own air freight business, according to a report in the UK’s The Evening Standard. China Postal signs for 10 Next-Gen B737 BCFs
China Postal Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for 10 Next-Generation 737 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCFs) and joins China’s Hangzhou-based YTO Airlines (which ordered 15 of the aircraft) as a launch customer for the BCF programme which has yet to be formally launched.
