Air cargo ends 2014 up 4.5% on 2013: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released full-year air cargo data for 2014 showing 4.5 per cent demand growth compared to 2013 measured by freight tonne kilometres (FTKs), marking a "significant acceleration" from the 1.4 per cent recorded in 2013 over 2012. TransAsia flight crashes in Taiwan river
TransAsia Airways flight GE235 crashed in Taipei a few minutes after it took off at 10:53 am local time Wednesday. A pilot of the TransAsia Airways Flight 235 said "mayday, mayday, engine flameout" moments before the propjet banked sharply and crashed into a river, Taiwan's Civil Aeronautics Administration said Thursday as the death toll grew to 31 with 12 people still missing.There are 15 survivors.
