Qatar continues relief efforts to Nepal

Qatar Airways Cargo has continued its relief efforts to Nepal operating a total of 12 freighter services to deliver urgent aid to Kathmandu following the devastating earthquakes that recently hit the country. The cargo carrier’s first freighter left Doha for Kathmandu within 24 hours of the earthquake and was the first commercial airline to touchdown at Tribhuvan International Airport following the first earthquake. Airbus launches ACJneo Family

Airbus has launched two new aircraft, the ACJ319neo and ACJ320neo. Both aircraft capitalise on new engines now being developed for the modern A320 airliner family, as well as Sharklets and improvements in fuel capacity. Airbus has already won around 3,800 orders for the A320neo Family which, together with today’s A320 Family, has now booked 11,600-plus orders. Dutch gov’t blocks Gulf carriers from expanding

Air carriers from the Gulf states will not be given new landing rights at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. The Dutch government is citing “unfair competition with Air France-KLM” as the reason for its actions. The decision was announced ahead of a European Commission decision on possible unfair competition due to the massive growth of Emirates, Etihad and Qatar in the region. Saudia Cargo deploys first 777F to Mumbai

The 7th of May 2014 marks an important date in the Saudia Cargo's freighter operation in Mumbai when its first 777 freighter SV 3969 departed for Jeddah carrying a full complement of cargo to points in Middle East, Africa and Europe. On board this freighter were commodities such as fabric, garments and engineering goods, amongst others. Air France increases Europe-Cuba service

Starting from October 2015, Air France will operate an additional flight to Havana, increasing its offer to 11 weekly frequencies during winter 2015. Air France began serving Havana in 1998.
