ICAO reaches agreement on CO2 emissions standard
Governments, industry and environmental groups meeting at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) have finalised the design of the first global certification standard for CO2 emissions from new aircraft. Air Berlin and parent Etihad Airways have won an appeal against a Braunschweig administrative court ruling in Germany issued late last month which required them to cease codesharing on thirty-one routes beyond 15 January. Qantas, AA seek regulatory approval for transpac JV
Qantas and American Airlines plan to add at least two new transpacific routes in the next five years if they get final regulatory approvals for their joint venture on flights between Australasia and mainland North America.
