French-based logistics provider Geodis said that it had returned to strong growth in the first half of 2010. Together, recent acquisitions and organic growth drove a 37.1 per cent (€841.6 million) increase in revenue to €3,112.6 million. Virgin Atlantic sees rising cargo yields
Rising demand for air cargo enabled Virgin Atlantic Cargo to push up yields in the first quarter with sales rising 36 per cent, driven by a 25 per cent increase in volumes, the company said. The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has said the 1 August deadline for 100% screening of air cargo on domestic passenger aircraft was successfully implemented, but that the same goal for international cargo would only be met in a "few years" time. South Africa’s turn for price-fixing allegations
Eight air cargo carriers including South African Airways Cargo face allegations of fixing the price of fuel surcharges and freight rates for cargo flown in and out of South Africa.
