Mexicana appoints GSA for new London service
Mexicana has appointed Globe Air Cargo as its exclusive general sales agent in the UK to market capacity on its new, direct flights from London Gatwick to Mexico City. The Mexican Airline commenced twice-weekly flights from London on 18 January to Mexico City's Benito Juarez Airport using Boeing 767-200 aircraft. The Thursday and Sunday departures each provide up to seven tonnes of cargo capacity. Delta posts Q4 loss of US$1.4 billion
Delta Air Lines lost US$1.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008, including a massive one-time special charge related to its merger with Northwest Airlines, along with losses from fuel hedges. Etihad Airways is expanding its European services with the addition of its latest new route to Istanbul in Turkey.
