Air China will commence Beijing-Mumbai nonstop service on 25 October 2015. As the forthcoming only service from Mainland China to Mumbai - the economic capital of the country - the airline said the seven hour non-stop will negate the need for stopovers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok. Air China to open two Africa routes

Air China will start Beijing-Johannesburg nonstop service using B777-300ER aircraft from 29 October 2015, which will be the first air link offered by a Chinese carrier between Mainland China and South Africa and also Air China's first route to Africa since the 1970s when it had one nonstop service to the continent. Air China to launch Beijing-Budapest service

China's national carrier has unveiled plans to open Beijing - Minsk - Budapest services from 1 May 2015.  Air China will operate the flights using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.  The new route will bring the number of European destinations Air China serves up to 18 and the number of routes the carrier operates to 19. Air China reports mixed Q3 results

Air China has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2014. It reported that operating revenue rose 6.68 per cent YoY to RMB29.79 billion (US$4.87 billion). The company also recorded operating profit of RMB3.71 billion, a decline of 7.58 per cent YoY. Accordingly the company’s margin stood at 12.47 per cent.
