ST Aero forms MRO JV in Guangzhou
ST Aerospace announced that it has concluded joint venture (JV) discussions with Guangdong Airport Management Corporation (GAMC) to set up a commercial aircraft heavy maintenance facility in Guangzhou, China. The JV company, ST Aerospace (Guangzhou) Aviation Services Company Ltd, will have a total investment of US$99 million. Aeroflot scolded for not buying 'Made-in-Russia'
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin reprimanded Aeroflot recently for not purchasing enough Russian-made planes, telling the state-run carrier's CEO, Vitaly Savelyev that growing profits and dividends were not its only concern. TSA will likely not meet 100% screening mandate
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will miss a congressionally mandated deadline to screen 100 per cent of US-bound air cargo by the first of August, US lawmakers noted recently.
