Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand launch User-Preferred Routing trials for 38 flight routes
On 5 August 2024, the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) from Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Singapore and the national flag carriers Qantas, Air New Zealand, Garuda and Singapore Airlines launched user-preferred routing (UPR) trials on 38 different scheduled routes between cities in Australia/New Zealand and Indonesia/Singapore. Air New Zealand has this week received a shipment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) into Wellington, its first delivery to the nation’s capital city and another small step towards its target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
