Cainiao Network is adding more capacity between China and the Americas with a Boeing 747-8F aircraft under a new long-term agreement with aircraft lessor and fleet operator Atlas Air. DB Schenker extends charter contract with Atlas Air

Atlas Air last week announced the extension of its partnership with Schenker Flight Services GmbH (DB Schenker), to provide air cargo charter flights for transpacific shipments. Atlas Air will provide charter capacity for shipments on the forwarder’s transpacific network. Atlas Air and Korean MRO services provider Sharp Technics K have signed a memorandum of agreement to form a joint venture and develop a dedicated MRO facility at Incheon airport for widebody cargo aircraft. Cainiao Network has reached a special prorate agreement (SPA) with Atlas Air and LATAM Airlines as the company aims to address the limited cargo space between China and the Americas to deliver e-commerce parcels. The agreement will allow connection flights linking Hong Kong to Bogota, Colombia and Lima, Peru via Santiago, Chile or Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Atlas Air currently operates charter flights for Cainiao.
