Boeing has announced that it has chosen its North Charleston, South Carolina facility as the location for a second final assembly site for the 787 Dreamliner program. Boeing reports $1.6 billion loss in Q3

Boeing says 2011 cargo-led recovery in air traffic
The Boeing Company expects global airline traffic – led by air cargo – to recover in 2011 with a return to growth in demand for aircraft in 2012, according to Boeing Commercial Airplanes VP for marketing, Randy Tinseth, speaking at Asian Aerospace in Hong Kong last month. FedEx Express takes delivery of first 777 Freighter
FedEx Express has taken delivery of its first of 15 Boeing 777 Freighters it has on order with at least four of these serving Asia to US routes by April 2010. While woes continue to beset its 787 Dreamliner project, Boeing is continuing to mark the numerous milestones in the assembly of its first 747-8 Freighter. AFRICA: Boeing wins US$1.3B order from Ethiopian
Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines have announced an order for five Boeing 777-200LRs, worth an estimated US$1.3 billion at list prices making it the largest order of the year for Boeing. With the order, Ethiopian Airlines becomes the first African carrier to order and operate the ultra-long-range 777-200LR model.
