Emirates SkyCargo has taken delivery of its first Boeing 777 Freighter, making it the second carrier to begin operating the newest generation freighter on the market, after Air France-KLM Cargo took delivery of its first in late February. Final flight test B787 in final assembly
The sixth and final Boeing 787 Dreamliner designated for flight test is now undergoing final assembly in Everett, Washington, the airframe manufacturer said this week. It said progress continues on the fleet with the first flight test airplane, ZA001, getting its paint touched up this week before finishing factory testing. RR rushes to find Trent 777 icing solution
Rolls-Royce is working to find a modification to its Trent 800 engine following recommendations by the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB). A second interim report on last year's crash of a British Airways Boeing 777-200 at London Heathrow said modifications were necessary to reduce the risk of ice in fuel lines which the AAIB suspected causing a flow restriction and thrust rollback of the Trent engines.
