Singapore Changi sees stable Q1 cargo volumes
Singapore Changi Airport saw air freight movements decline 1.8 per cent year-on-year to 163,000 tonnes during the month of March while passenger movements surged to 4.28 million passengers, up a full 15 per cent over the same month a year earlier. Aircraft movements were correspondingly up with a 10.6 per cent growth to 27,000 for the month. Cargo traffic at Singapore's Changi airport is expected to fall by 5.1 per cent in 2009, to 1.77 million tonnes in 2009, from 1.85 million tonnes, according to a Reuters report.
