Saudia Cargo is in discussions with at least two Chinese carrier groups on a strategic partnership to extend its footprint in North Asia. Virgin cargo sees 30% jump for cargo ex-Dubai

Virgin Atlantic Cargo carried over 30 per cent more cargo from Dubai in the first half of 2015, boosted by additional US routes and frequencies and traffic generated as a result of the US port disruptions, the carrier said. For the six months ended 30 June 2015, the airline carried 2.4 million kgs ex Dubai, compared to 1.8 million kgs for the same period a year ago. Surging Chicago cargo fills Virgin bellies

Virgin Atlantic Cargo recorded a record month for tonnage from Chicago in June, boosting its monthly average volume on the route by over 30 per cent to more than 860 tonnes. The airline’s year-round Chicago business generates cargo shipments for across its global route network. The UK is the top destination, accounting for 53 per cent, while a further 29 per cent of freight originating in Chicago connects over London to India. Virgin calls for industry-wide ethical cargo policy

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has welcomed the latest moves by other airlines to ban the carriage of hunting trophies and says it is now time for the airline cargo industry to adopt a strict ethical cargo policy to clearly identify shipments not acceptable for carriage. Virgin Atlantic flies cars to Le Mans race

Virgin Atlantic Cargo teamed up with motorsport freight forwarding specialists first-air to organise delivery of two Chevrolet Corvette CR.7 cars from Chicago to London on their journey to Le Mans in France, where Corvette Racing is bidding to win the 83rd running of the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race.
