PAL eyes major European expansion with coming A350s
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is planning to expand its European network in the coming years, including the launch of direct flights to Paris and Rome once the carrier takes delivery of six new A350 aircraft from 2018. The carrier recently placed the A350-900 order as part of its long-haul refleeting plan to replace its ageing A340s and is also scheduled to take delivery of two more B777-300ERs this year. Saudia Cargo is in discussions with at least two Chinese carrier groups on a strategic partnership to extend its footprint in North Asia. Royal Jordanian begins regular Guangzhou service
Royal Jordanian has begun operating its new regular route to the Chinese city of Guangzhou via Bangkok from 21 March with three weekly flights utilising B787 Dreamliner and A330 equipment. The frequency of the flights will be increased to meet future passenger demand, the carrier said. Guangzhou is RJ’s second Chinese destination and the fifth in the Far East.
