ST Aerospace has announced that it has renewed a maintenance contract with US Airways worth US$60 million over three years. Commencing in January 2010, the renewed contract will primarily cover heavy maintenance for US Airways’ fleet of Airbus A330s, as well as Boeing 737, 757 and 767 aircraft. GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd., (GHIAL), has signed an agreement with aircraft engine manufacturer, CFM International (CFM), to establish a new CFM56 maintenance training center to support its customers in the South Asian region. Goodrich opens new Brazilian MRO facility
Goodrich Corporation has officially opened its new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility located in Sao Carlos, Brazil in the TAM Technological Condominium. The facility, Goodrich do Brasil, will initially focus on repairing International Aero Engine (IAE) V2500- A5 engine inlets, fan cowls and thrust reversers for customers in Latin America and the Caribbean. Airline executives expect improved results and a rebound in cargo volumes in the coming year, a "turning point" for a sector closely linked to economic trends, a survey released on Monday showed. China posts 8.9 per cent Q3 GDP growth

China posted GDP growth of 8.9 per cent in the third quarter of the year, up from 7.9 per cent growth in the second quarter, Bloomberg reported. The growth rate, the fastest in a year, reflected heavy government stimulus spending and high lending growth.
