Cargo demand continues to recover: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced international scheduled traffic statistics for June which showed continued strong demand growth as the industry recovers from the impact of the global financial crisis. ST Aero forms MRO JV in Guangzhou
ST Aerospace announced that it has concluded joint venture (JV) discussions with Guangdong Airport Management Corporation (GAMC) to set up a commercial aircraft heavy maintenance facility in Guangzhou, China. The JV company, ST Aerospace (Guangzhou) Aviation Services Company Ltd, will have a total investment of US$99 million. Gulf Technics and SIA Engineering Co. (SIAEC), a subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group, have announced their intention to open a new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Bahrain by 2012 with construction to start late this year or early next. China’s trade surplus rises in June
China's trade surplus was US$20 billion in June, the highest level in eight months, Bloomberg reported. The increase came largely thanks to surging exports, which were up 43.9 per cent year-on-year.
